i got a set of nova rear beam proflex bushes in the garage. i had thought when looking at them. they could be used as engine mounts like the TAS jobbies. they have and stainless furell with them. cases could be welded up to house em. ive heard of people with rally novas using rear beam bushes as engine mounts.
what do you guys with valvers think, would they be too harsh or a good cheap alternative to the TAS jobbies.
From a mount point of view then they would be ideal. If the mount is strong enough to take the loadings that is.
Although, single bolt mountings could offer more room for failure. And possibly less sturdy unless you put some thought into the design and positioning of them. If you do all 3 it could be an arse to line it up, they won't be forgiving at all, and will strain things.
it does give the chance to make a two bolt instead of the TAS single one. im using Brian_s mount, which is well meaty. i wasn't going to make one for the gearbox mounting keep that as standard, to compensate for the hardness of the rest
