and if so what is it?
My 2.0 eco calibra just had the cambelt changed and since has been running worse than ever.
The idle is all over the place then when I accelerate the car splutters, the ECU lights up and the rev counter bounces to 6000 even though the car is barely revving.
It's always been dodgy but has got worse since the cambelt change.
What's all that about then?
that's exactly what it feels like, could the cam belt be put on with the timing marks not lined up properly?
I thought it could be the timing so I booked it back into the garage who did the work, the guy has a calibra so I assumed he knew what he was doing.
The engin should'nt know the diference between new and old belts the new ones exactly the same, just less likely to break. So if the engin is running notcably worse then something was not put back corectly.
Im not shure what afect it may have but maybe it hasnt been titened up enuf, becuse he calnt be bothered. Try takeing it somware else and get them to have a quick look. If the cam belt IS on wrong it could be terminle!
