Well engine went back together last week and ran fine. No problems at all, ran fine all week. Gave it a bit of beans every so often. Loved it, ran fine. Took it up to Reading and back in it on Friday. All was fine. Didn't miss a beat. Went out in it yesterday, started it up, bit of smoke. I was puzzled. Well, it cleared and off I went. Just had a few errands to do in town, came back, stopped at lights, pulled away and a huge plume of blue smoke comes pouring out the back, can see it through the rear view mirror. Drove home on very little throttle. Still doing it. Pulled up outside the house and got out, nice puffs of blue smoke coming from the exhaust. Stopped engine and went inside very pi55ed off. Came out about about 30 mins later, started it and the same happened, although only slight puffs by then. Left car. Not diven it all day. Started it just now and not a puff of anything, save for the usuall condensation.
Wierd. Car is running 101% too. Can't figure out the problem. Was expecting it to throw smoke out after leaving it over night. Not a thing.
Wonder if i had an oil surge or something. Or maybe a blocked breather.
As I said the engine doesn't miss a beat. So all seems to be fine.
