spent the last 2 days ****ing about with my mates gte with a let in it, well i got it running today anfter mucho rewiring, put it all back together and then the bugger wouldnt start, all i did was put everything back how it was, i modified the live feed to the ecu as the origonal one burnt out, put and inline fuse in it and all so its all proper like, the only thing i can think of is the alarm/immobilzer, its a toad, dunno the model number, but it cuts the feed to the fuel pump after the relay, but i put a multimeter on the fuel pump on cranking and it was getting a voltage so thats ok, the ecu is powewring up and the amal valve is clicking its tits of(P3.5)
anyone got any ideas? does motronic need a specific voltage to work as the battery was going flat ?
hers a scary pic of what ive been doing
my nifty wiring
and the enige after i finished with it, all nice and tidy
if you can flash the ECU codes out, then the ECU is alive, which means the immobilser is not active, the fuel pump relay works and hence the fuel pump is working.
The fuel pump relay supplies 12v to the ECU and fuel pump.
So if the fuel pump relay is faulty, then nothing works.
> yes it truns over getting fuel as i can smell it abut its not firing,
So the starter motor is turning the engine over.
The ECU is alive and should see it spinning over via the CAS and HES.
From the CAS is knows where TDC is on cylinder 1.
It knows the order, activates the fuel injecotrs timing and the stim signal to the coil amplifier. The spark plugs should spark and VROOMMM, the engine starts.
If you have no spark at the plugs check
1) dizzy cap terminals inside
2) rotar arm condition
3) 12v and 0v to coil
4) 5 or 6-pin multi plug on the amp under the coil
5) condition of the HT leads
6) condition of the spark plugs.
