I suspect that the cyl head of my runabout 1.7DTL is not torqued properly (leaks from some head bolts)
Thankfully nothing needs to be removed for tightening them up, so I hope it will be straightforward enough.
The Haynes manual has 6 stages of torquing these strech bolts, the last 2 with engine warm.
My question is: Should I just warm up the engine (how warm?) and torque the bolts a bit? But how much? At this stage, some will be properly fastened, while some other will be looser (I checked)
Does anyone have a guess as to how much torque I can safely apply without making it worse than it is?
