Just having a bit of a problem with mi car starting.
I'ts been sat for about a week with all this cold whether and that and the alarm stopped working. I got in and when I went to turn it over it was just dead. As I thought the battery was flat. Tried jump leads but the battery was dead. Called RAC and they came out and but the battery thing on and it fired up straight away. Thought I would leave it running for a bit to charge it. Went in. Came out about 15 mins later and it had cut out. I thought it was down to the fact that the engine was cold and not been started for a week. Tried starting it and it wouldn't. Battery went flat again trying to start it. Called RAC again. He tried battery and it wouldn't start. So he checked all connections e.t.c. Gave it the whole once over. In the end it turns out there is a fueling problem. The car was starting and then cutting out. He squirted some stuff down the pipe just before the AFM and when he squirted this the car would start first time.
Any ideas? Could it be the fuel filter? There is full battery there as it's trying to start so that rules that out.
As I say though, when he was squirting this stuff down the pipe before the AFM it was firing first time.
Any ideas? Surely it is something simple. The fact that it has been sat for a week won't have helped.
