Out of interest when does a person burn the clutch, i know you burn the clutch holding the bitting up for ages for example stuck in traffic up a hill, moving off doing 2k more (revs wise)
but do you burn the clutch if you are going down a hill in second or third or what ever holding the clutch down?
also do second gear starts wear it down faster?
(just interested as i viewed a car today and the guy was driving it doing alot of second gear starts, and holding the clutch down when going down hills)
thought id do a clutch test, put it in first gear letting off the clutch, higher, higher banged my knee into the steering and just a lil higher than that was the bitting point my assumtion was clutch on its way out although that could just be a possible clutch cable adjustment?
