Right i have read different things regarding this and just after some confirmation.
I always give the Calibra 7-8 mins idle warming up time (i know this is only effective for water temp) as the oil demand for the turbo is almost nil.
Then 12-14mins very slow under 2,500rpm driving before driving the car using its full blown bhp. (not that i do that very often anyway )
My question is this, reading a report the other day with info from andy k, they suggest you should drive off boost for the last 4-5miles of your journey which i do then idle for 30-45 secs MAX.
Question is i always believed if the fan cut in you should always let it turn off before you switch off? Is this correct?
I will be getting a new turbo but i want to look after this one in the meantime!
