Can someone explain to me the way a piston/rings are lubricated in their cylinder, when the engine is running?
I understand that the conrod has an oil spray hole - and this is fed from the oil supply out of the big end bearing?
This hole is only on one side of the X20XEV rod I have on the bench - how is the other side lubricated?
How about the upper part of the cylinder - the oil spray hole looks like it would only go halfway-ish up.
And what about the little end - does this require lubrication?
