doing it before should be a peice of ****.

i had to do it when it was in the car, and there aint much room when its in a nova.

the only reallly probelms i had was with the bottom pulley bolts being rounded (easy to sort when its not in a car) and actually having to take the engine off the mounts to get the bottom pully off. part from that easy job
    GUTTED, my novas gone :(

Is it an early C20XE or a later, the early has two steel rollers and the later has a self tensioner and nylon rollers.

If it is a later one I recommend getting steel replacment rollers from Autovaux.

Also change the water pump too especially if the engine has been stood for any time with no anti-freeze in.

Incidently if anyone wants a water-pump for a later C20XE or ecotec I have one brand new GM parts supplied for sale... 20 + P&P
