Ive whipped off the old CV boots from the shafts to give them a good clean to get rid of all the old CV grease etc...
Now I cant remember which way round the shafts are supposed to go! On the shafts theres 2 grooves, one about 3 inches from the end and one about 4 inches from the end, I guess the one furthest away from the end of the shaft would be the outer CV/boot as it has more travel? lmao
as far as I know all the companies offering hub's just
machine down standard cavy/astra hub's so find yourself
a local machine shop and get them done and save a
fair bit of cash , just make sure you get them the exact same
as the corsa hub's (take one as a sample), this is what I did
got both done for a tenner I was so pleased I gave him a
Make sure you get the bosses I'v arrowed reduced to the corsa
size too or they'll fowl the knuckle , don't take off any more
than you have to here as I reckon the hub could break here
if you take off as much as some companies seem to.
I'v run mine for 4mths no probs and give them lots of stick.
ps. you'll get hub's from the local scrappy going rate is
about £15/£20 for a pair ,got mine from my cavy donor
