I fitted the whole of my phase 2 kit today, IC, Chips the lot.
The thing is it dont feel right, with the switch off i am only getting 7 Psi in 2nd, with it on i just manage to hit 11 Psi in 2nd.
Regal said that i sould be getting 19 psi overboost when on and 12 psi when off.
I have played with the actuator a little, but put it back to normal now,but when i was doing this the little arm that the bar goes into has a lot of play, i can move it about 2cm in total. The actuator feels good and strong. I really dont think that i should be able to move this little arm that much should I?, but without feeling another one i would not know.
How should i have the actuator set for Phase 2, how many threads to the right should i have ????
So any ideas before i go and spend loads down Power eng?
From what you are describing it sounds like a problem with the wastegate/penny valve. If the actuator is OK and you have checked all the pipework for leaks/splits and the turbo is OK you should get more boost by tightening up the actuator thread. I'd keep tightening it up to see if it does improve and if it doesn't get the exhaust manifold off and inspect the wastegate.
have you double checked the ic hoses?, when i bought my EDS IC it came with a poxy bit of rad hose, not exactly the best way of doing things and if they are not on 100% you will get boost leaking everywhere
