Corsa B Wide Arch rally, track, rally cross car
It was originally a 1.4 1995 Corsa SRI
Shell: Full multi point, welded in roll cage. The main hoop, front legs screen bar are from CUSTOM CAGES, the WRC type door bars are CDS from Protection Performance. The rest of the cage is made from straight lengths of CDS tubing. The wide arch body kit is from AG Motorsport. The rear arches have been cut away and re welded, not just had the body kit stuck over the top. The whole shell has been seam welded. Its been cleaned up properly and all rust removed and has been painted underneath (no underseal) There are proper sump guard mounts attached to the body shell. There are aditional bars from the struts to the chassis legs to remove some of the flex corsas suffer. The front cross member has had triangulation plates welded in also to stiffen the front end. The steering rack mounts have also been beefed up. It also has some laser cut strut tops welded in place given lots of caber adjustment.
Engine: This engine is a standard C20XE. It was fully rebuilt when I bought it. It was bought from a grass track car, and has done a maximum of 50 miles. I am told by a friend who new the car that the engine is very quick. I've since fitted adjustable pulleys.
Front Suspension: The car is fitted with 40mm Bilstein coilover struts, modified to suit the wide track, fitted with Protec tarmac springs. It has box section lower arms, rose jointed at either end. The Tie rods are also rose jointed (left and right threads to allow in situ adjustment) with adjustable front mounts. The rack ends are also rose jointed.
Steering: Standard Corsa steering rack, with electric power steering unit fitted. (controller and ecu included) rose jointed rack ends.
Rear suspension: The rear axle has been replaced with much stronger item from a cavalier, mounted with rose joints. This also gives disc brakes to the rear. Fitted with Spax shocks and Protec tarmac springs.
Brakes: Rebuilt rear brake calipers and new, grooved discs. Standard 256mm grooved front discs fitted, but no calipers. Braided hose fitted throughout the car, via a hydraulic hand brake and bias valve. There is also a cable handbrake fitted and working.
Wiring. There is a standard, modified loom fitted into the car, in need of finishing. The main power wires and batter isolator are all fitted as is the connections to alternator and started motor. Anderson plug also fitted, I intended for the battery to sit behind the passenger seat.
Extra's:
Omex 500 ECU (to run injection)
Full poly carb window kit (not fit as to not scratch it)
Carbon inner floor panels
Carbon center consol panel
Brand new, standard fuel tank.
I have 1 Cobra Sebring seat (brand new) included on side mounts.
On the car is a set of 17" OZ wheels
Spare set of 17" Compomotive MO wheels in white
This car really isnt far off been finished, the main things needed are fuel hose, fuel pump, windscreen and wiring finishing. I have a full standard wiring loom for the engine, but also a semi assembled wiring loom for the OMEX.
I will accept reasonable offers on this car.
