Hi All
I'm looking for feedback on this idea, we're thinking about creating 2 mini-regions out of the eastern region in the hope that this will encourage more of you to attend meets – because they’ll be closer to home.
It’ll work by putting Cambridge and Norfolk together to form Eastern North, with Suffolk and Essex forming Eastern South.
Regional co-ord’s will be responsible for organising meets in their region as normal and we’ll need at least one new one to manage the north (so register your interest here).
There’s nothing to stop these 2 regions arranging a joint meet once in a while if that’s what’s wanted – but it’s not encouraged on a regular basis (as it would be no different to how it is now). And of course if anyone from the north wanted to attend the meet in the south (or vice-versa) there’s nothing stopping them – just as there’s currently nothing stopping anyone from attending meets in other regions.
I don’t expect this to make a massive difference straight away but hopefully, by having more meets more locally, over time we’ll get the region back on it’s feet and get more people involved in the social side of the club in the process.
So thanks for reading, please vote in the poll and let us know what you think – or if you think you have a better idea let us know that too!
Cheers
Chris
Oh, and anyone not a member of the eastern region that votes shouldn't be surprised if their vote gets deleted. This is a local vote, for local people!
