Bit of bad news for you (or good depending on your views )

I won't be able to make the Essex Vauxhall rally.

I've got to work and noone will swap saturdays with me, and we've arranged to get Jo over to her Grandad's in France for the summer holidays, but we can't afford to fly over and pick her up, so it's a road trip for the pair of us to go and get her.

Instead of doing it in one stint like last year We're gonna take 2-3 days getting down there.

Still, it'll be a good run for the Calibra I guess, as long as we don't get the same treatment as last year (blown head on a vectra SRi anyone)

Still. I'm in the process of sorting some VXR appearances for the show courtesy of work (Toomey Vauxhall Basildon) so I'll be there in spirit.

Unless of course I can persuade the boss to let me bring one of the vxr's

Mark that looks totally fresh and original. Brings the looks bang up to date with the likes of the Ford Cougar and Pug Coupe!!! DO IT!

Maybe loose the V grille though, have a badgless front or similar.... Did you get those Irmscher bits in the end?

    Erm, no.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!! I have found a rieger style bodykit that I have first dibs on when the guy breaks his car.

I don't really want to lose the v grill, it'll make it look like an early cally then, and I don't like the way the front grill looks on those.

Just a case of pricing that up really now, I may have a go at it myself, after all, if I get my new project, I can run around in that while the cally is off the road.

Just to give you guys a heads up i'm picking up a '94 Calibra XE in red on wednesday, got a blown water pump but doesn't appear to have ceased. Its flame red, standard with black leather.
I'm 99% sure i'll be breaking it so if anybody needs any bits let me know.

I'll double check the wear on the drivers seat first Dave but they normally got for around £130-150 depending on condition, so if there's a little rip be about £120 for front and rear seats and four door cars.
Dan i would recomend you pop up on sunday and have a look at the shell, think there might be a bit of welding needing doing to the sills. Will know more when i get her.

Righto, I can't keep it a secret any more, I thought I'd show you lot my new wheels.

    Here we go......................

    Only 16's though..........................

I like them, just need to sort out some vaux centre caps and some tyres and we're in business.

They're finished in like a shadow chrome, so they are a bit different.

    What do you guys think.

Guys, keep your eyes open for some posts from a guy called Neil.

Bumped into him at Shell yesterday afternoon, he has Plumb's old Astra LET. Nice chap actually, good to talk to and a bit of a laugh. Also has 2/3 mates with XE Nova's and more with Astras. Told him about Mig, the pub meets, show convoys etc and he seemed well keen. Gave him a flyer and said to post on here when he can.

Forgot to give him my number though

On another note, the small nut holding my wiper arm on has stripped the thread and needs breaking off.

Does anyone have a small nut splitter that DOSNT resemble a hammer and blow torch!

Well, yeah, but I won't know for definite for a week or so, apparently, they need to clear a load of cars out of the storage yard, them once it goes over there, I'll get a price.

Seems a bit backward to me, I mean, I'll take it tomorrow!! lmao
