well... my engine conversion took its first step forward today...

i built my engine crane

it's been in a couple of boxes in the front room for about a month now, but today i've finally got around to it

look at this beauty

i plan to have my engine out on saturday, pick up the new one on sunday, and have it in the car, running, on wedneseday (after doing a bit of work on the suspension / subframe / brakes & power steering while it's out)

Due to the slight concerns with Mays meet I thought I would just remind everyone what we don't want to see at static meets.

1. Loud sound systems.

Please don't test your sound systems. Often static meets are in public places and this will upset people, esp. the hosts.

2. Driving.

Please keep speeds down / drive sensibly. Again they are mostly held at public places and heroic stunts will not only be fround upon from the hosts but is also dangerous.

3. Use the facilities.

Most of our static meets are held at public houses. If they are kind enough to let us meet in their car park, then we ought to be kind enough to purchase a drink or two.

4. Revving of engines.

Don't do it. For much the same reasons as mentioned above.

I think thats about it. All sensible, obvious stuff really. I don't want to be seen putting people off, but these are static MIG meets, not cruises.

It's ok, would be great if you could make meets, but we do understand some peeps have lives outside of MIG....... odd I know, I mean.................. what kinda sad chump has a life outside of MIG??
