Talking I have just had a Brain wave!!!

Just seen the post about the Banger racing. Around November the 5th, Foxhall stadium in Ipswich usually have a big banger racing night with fireworks etc etc. Last year they done a special driving a Plastic Pig through caravans!!!

Anyway. If they are doing a firework night special this year, maybe we could have a bit of a MIG meet there.

Good or bad idea Mr P for Paws??

Hmmmmmmmmmm, well I'm interested!!

Would this take the place of a meet, or just have it as a little get-together for those that can make it!?!?!

Also, the suggestion of a Bar-B-Que has been noted, and penciled in for next year!!

With a bit of luck.

The car is back although Dean wants to re do one of the skirts as the primer cracked. The wheels are in my front room under wax and go back on the car on Monday (Now in silver!!). I'm going to Powerflow on Thurs (fingers crossed) to arrange to have a cat back system fitted.

All I have to do then is tint out and fit the new rear lights.

In short, its all systems go and so far, so good!!!

In some cases, noisy is a bad thing....
It's one thing to have a roaring beast round town scaring old ladies and small animals but, when you get on the open road and it starts to drone at your regular cruising speed and every journey comes with a free, Powerflow induced, headache it can get a bit much (yes, I speak from experience )

Although you can tailor the noise with Powerflow (in theory, at least)

I'm not going to have anything OTT. In fact i'm going for the quietest they do. Something subtle but different. It has to fit in with the rest of the car.

For playing around I'd have to agree noisy is good!!
But for an everyday car, it's a pain in the head!!

You could always compensate for it by getting a muther of a sound system installed!!!!!

Well played Andy..............*mental note: send cheque soon!!*

Soz for not being about recently, went on a training day for my job..................very long story, but basically the following day I left my job having had a bit of a 'run-in' with 2 different managers for different reasons!! I wasn't sacked, I tried to put my point across and get an explanation for why I'm being treated so differently to other staff, their reasons were basically financial and that there's nowt they were going to do for me, in fact it was soon to get even worse!! On the back of that, I quite politely expressed my opinion on that and promptly left.....leaving them with 2 weeks of my shifts to cover (the rota had already been done, so 1 up for me I suppose!?!?)

I've since been looking for work, so before the agencies open I thought I'd pop on and explain what's been happening!!

But I'm back.................

Well I've got a job now!! Went for an interview on Tuesday....., had a second interview Wednesday...........and they called me in the afternoon (same day) to ask if I'd willing to take up the vacancy!! Cool, only unemployed for 1 week!! It's ok money, the hours are a bit poo (continental shift pattern!!) but at least it brings the pennies in!! Am still applying for something that's mon-fri 9-5!!
I'll let you know if I see any probs with my shifts!! Apparently the shifts are quite rigid so it's virtually impossible to swap shifts etc..........

Thought I'd share the news!!

The wheels are back on mine now. So i've got a little question for you lot who've seen it.

Q: I've been offered an 'M' reg cav turbo for £2500 in mint condition, its completly standard though, bordeaux red.

Do I:

a: Sell my cav and get the turbo.

or

b: My GSi is lovely, keep that, and just do the finishing touches. Twin headlights, spoiler, splitter etc...

What ya reckon.

S'alright mate.... I'll forgive you (but the steering wheel's just gone up a tenner )

There's a few reasons why I wouldn't have a Cav Turbo...
1) 4x4..... changing all 4 tyres at once £££
2) 4x4 renowned for TX box probs (more £££ )
3) Repair bills if something goes Pete Tong (even more £££ )
4) They're manual (and my manual 'box days are over for the foreseeable future )
