Gala Day 2008 Norfolk Show Ground

Hey been a while since i posted as been on holiday etc
basically my main club (EAC) are having a stand at the police gala at the show ground in norwich and i was wondering if any of you local guys and girls would like to join us
we need numbes asap so we can get form in but itsa free day out with your car on our club stand for all to see if you have not been before its basically a mini norfolk show but for car

basically for those who live in norfolk all know about the norfolk show, well this is police gala day basically a smaller version of the norfolk show but mainly for cars instead of farming etc. and also its 5 quid on the gate to get in but if you come with us its a free day out only down side is having to be there 8pm sunday morning lol

8 PM sunday morning sounds like it could be fun getting there for that time

You need to be on the stand by 10AM, 8AM is their guide time for traders ect.

The 31st Annual Police Gala Day, incorporating the Radio Norfolk Old Car Rally, will be held at the Norfolk Showground, New Costessey, Norwich on Sunday 31st AUGUST 2008. Police Gala is the largest single event in Norwich after the Lord Mayor’s Show and the largest policing event in the country. In 2007 this event was attracted approximately 25,000 visitors. As last year we hope to give the event an international flavor in conjunction with the Norfolk Branch of the International Police Association.

The format this year will be similar to previous years and will continue to involve a wide range of public emergency services and community groups. This year we will have a full main ring and village green together with a wide range of trade and charity stands, sideshows, police and partner displays.

Police Gala Day represents the largest collection of old and classic vehicles in the East of England. Last year over 1500 vehicles were exhibited by the Radio Norfolk Old Car Rally, local car and motor cycle clubs, individuals and through the Eastern Transport Collection of vintage busses.

This year Norfolk Constabulary's chosen charity which we will be supporting throughout the day is Nelson's Journey, which has been in operation since November 1997. The charity was established to provide a service to children and young people who have experienced the death of a significant person in their life.

There are over 60 local car clubs attending so it's a fairly large show. It's free entry for the stand and all the days demos and shows, although there is an optional donation of £5 towards the chosen charity, which i think is an extremely worthy one IMO.
