Woohoo!

Finally after years of dead end jobs i think i may have found something worthwhile doing.
Went on a two day trial friday and saturday at Solus norwich union accident repair centre in Stowmarket as a machine polisher and after the trail they offer me a periment position in the company.
£6.50 per hour monday to friday 8 till half 5, saturday morning overtime, 20 days paided holiday, week off and xmas, bank holidays paid leave, pension and the scope for pay rises and promotions.
Great bunch of guys to work with.
Hopefully this is the start of things looking up for me and project GSi.

Bit random i know, but just thought i'd share it with you lol.

Chris.

Cheers guys. No what you mean Novacane worked for Ask and Zizzi's for two and a half years, started on £4.10 per hour and ended on £4.25 and that was only due to me turning 21! Left there and started as a valeter for Motorclean sub-contracted to BMW, money was good to start with then slowly got worse and worse to the point where i was doing 50 hour weeks for 6 days and taking home about £100. So had a massive row with my manager on wednesday told him where to stuff his job and went and did my trial.
Good thing i got it too as i would have been screwed!

Feel for you mate, the amount of days i took off "sick" at Motorclean was unreal, just couldn't stand to even be there. The problem was i was self-empolyed so had to go back else i wouldn't make any money, got they were a bunch of coonts.

im the same, i have to go to work as they dont even pay sick pay as they are that tight fisted and miserable when it comes to money, i even went and sat my hgv licence to get away from the place but nobody seems to take anyone on without experience
anyway im on the verge of getting a ban due to build up of points, believe it or not (as stupid as i may sound) i actually cant wait to get conformation of my ban just so i can say to my boss, right ive just been banned i cant drive so what you gonna do with me now then, pay me off like every other person thats "alledgedly" stepped out of line

Nice to see you got peperment position and no longer on trial, so before you were on two days a week trial and they liked your work so they gave you a periment position, well pleased for you mate.

Benn: just machine polishing for now, gonna really go for it with that, then maybe looking into branching out to minor repairs and painting.

Phunky, tell me about it, they thought of every way to screw you over with work and money.

Cheers for all the comments guys, looking foward to going back on wednesday.

Chris
