Rob, in either case your going to need a major overhaul under the bonnet! Budget for about £1000 in parts and labour and time etc and NO, im not kidding, it may even be new engine and box time plus if the movement on those mounts worsens you may need to investigate to see if anything important needs welding (subframe etc).
Track will also require bigger brakes, proper suspension, poly bushes, new track rod ends etc. Dont get me wrong at the end of it it will be a mint, reliable and fast car but getting there isnt much fun!
There is no reason why you couldnt have both though. A fast enough car to be fun on the track, while keep a few sounds in there and so on. Just depends on how much you love your bass.
Dave
If you can't get into trouble you might as well stop at home!
Yeah i have been looking at all the upgrades i need and i know it aint going to be cheap im trying to soucre a second engine to start rebuilding with a few bits of nice kit in there not sure what yet but it be sweet. im changing the engine mounts hopefully after pv if it still does it then ill be looking for a new car lmao.
thanks for the advise though dave and bringing ants to my picnic lmao
lol no problem Rob. I had hoped for my Astra project to be done in 6 months on a budget of £3K. 24 months and £6.5k later and im still not finished (although Id like to take the oppurtunaty that some VERY large pieces of the puzzle are about to be finished!).
