MIG meet + summer evening drive in Peak District - Sunday 10th July, everyone welcome

Hi guys,

The hugely popular and successful East Midlands meet will be continued on Sunday 10th July from 3pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. The address is

Peacock Hotel, Oakerthorpe, Alfreton, Derbyshire DE55 7LN

Alongside the regular meet, this time we've got the option of a convoy drive through the stunning Peak District national park, which includes some challenging roads with long straights, sweeping bends, hairpin bends and lots more. All to the backdrop of some stunning scenery, and a lovely summer's evening. We shall leave the Peacock after the meet, around 5pm and head off onto a legendary set of roads. If successful I propose we incorporate Snake's Pass into the next one!

The basic route this time will be Oakerthorpe > Matlock > Bakewell > Buxton > A6 > A623 > Chesterfield ASDA (finish). This will mean we're just a short hop away from the M1 for getting home easily.

PS - It goes without saying we're representing a car club so we'll all be on our best behaviour. There's also some pretty serious ravines on some of the corners, so just be aware of what you're doing.

In all seriousness, we'll be on a lot of national speed limit roads so we can all enjoy ourselves in between the villages (30/40 limits).
