If anyone fancies it the Derbyshire VxSCC will also be holding a meet from 15:00 on Sunday 11th. It'll be taking place at the Peacock Hotel in Oakerthorpe map here. It's 18miles (20minutes) from Bramcote Park, straight up the M1 to J28 and down the A38.

I'll hopefully be there just after 13:00. Got a lot of stuff to sort tomorrow morning as the mk3 GSi is going to the scrappers and the engine and box are being collected late morning.

Shame I couldn't make it I was too busy ripping the heart out a mk3 GSi and scrapping the chassis. Hope some of you can make it tomorrow to the VxSCC meet mentioned by me in the 3rd post down on this page.

everyone asked how quick and powerful the astra is, my answer at the meet was 60bhp as it was its first proper run and gear changes were at max 2.5k and max 60mph.

On the way back thats a different matter, hit 100mph in 3rd after wheels stopped spinning!!!
it deff feels very quick, lots quicker that the previous engine and setup.
