Anywhere in Midlands with a big-ass mill or lathe?

As title, need the offset on some alloys I have reducing!

Your average lathe is too small If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be grateful. Don't mind travelling an hour in any direction!

How wide are the wheels? If they are 8" you are buggered.

Funk knows. They're on 205/40/17s if you can tell from that?

Oh and can you get a 205/35/17?

I have never heard of a 205/35/17.

The wheel width is probably stamped on the rear of the mounting face or spokes with the letter J next to it.

I'll take a look Wayne, cheers.

Looks like 215/35/17s are the answer

If milling the alloys isn't an option then could I get the hubs or drums machined down?

42 isn't far off 49.

They might be alright without even touching them.

7 mm, then if the tyres are going up 10mm in width that takes it up to 12mm (5mm either side of tread), not forgetting even with 35 profile tyres there will still be some sidewall flex = scrubbed tyres and arches , sod it, go get a dremel and do the job by hand

I drive a big ass lathe, might be a bit tricky to do it as a foreigner though as warriors don't tend to have white alloys. I'll speak to boss man tomorrow and see if i can get them done on the night shift though mate.

Put it this way guys, those wheels ARE going on the Corsa, one way or another

It might end up with just 3mm milled off them, plus 35 profiles plus raising the suspension up to -30mm.

If they are anything over 7" wide you will be in a pickle.

You have seen the rear on mine with proper 49 offset on a 7" rim with 205/40's and you would struggle to fit Daladines morals between the tyre and the arch, plus they have already been modified, cut back and had the retention bolts binned.

You would be best keeping it on a 205/40 and putting Falken FK451's on the back as they are very good for clearance.

Instead, donate them to the R5 fund and I will throw them on the reggie with a 7-10mm spacer.
