Nice one Gaz. If we could get 2 or 3 EM members to start putting MIG flyers on cars, we could kick start the region perhaps.

I've done that before mate. About two years ago I plastered over 100 vauxhalls with our flyers and got about 3 responses. None of them are active though.

I'd happily give it another go though

Statistically a 3% take up from "cold calling" is pretty good I reckon

The fact they then choose not to stay is beyond your control really, thats just down to wether the site proves useful to them once they find it.

I think we would have a better chance of getting people onboard if we talk to them face to face. The flyers are OK but I've had more luck when I've just approached someone and had a chat. Maybe we should have a meet where everyone brings a new friend

Yes that's right. It's something that should be discussed, as a minimum

Perhaps a brainstorm of new meets might be a good idea?

There's no reason we can't get a good group of members together, like the West Mids lot have.

OP, all Miggers are welcome to join in with the VxSCC Derbyshire meets the 2nd Sunday of every month at the Peacock Hotel on Oakerthorpe. We don't usually get a huge turn out and a regular joint meet will help attract new members to both clubs and bust attending numbers all round.

What do all you EM Miggers think to the above suggestion?

PS I hate football and I'm not gay.

I'm sure we can integrate more joint meets. The main problems I face is finding a date everyone is free then getting people to stick to it.

Our next meet is going to be the 3rd March. Venue is TBA and a post will be made sometime soon!

Gonna be hitting the Cavs hard over the next few months as I wanna get at least one on the road for PVS so I wont be free at weekends until its done..
