Me and lozz are seriously thinking about making the trip up to see it this year

its a fair distance away (5 miles north of york..elvington) but should be worth the trip.

anyone else thinking of going from here?????

its about 100 odd of the fastest cars in the uk all going against each other in drag races and track time trials maybe some other stuff ive not seen aswel

watched the highlights from a couple of years ago the other day looks like a really good day out

Basically theres 3 classes - fwd, rwd and 4x4 and everyone will be running on quickest quarter, top speed and handling course. 10 of all the best performance cars in the country... not worth missing! Just hope I get my car back in time to go

Apparently you need to be able to run the 1/4mile in under 14.0 seconds

as far as i know you need to actually enter as a team of the same manufacturer of cars. so you'd need more vauxhalls.

i know rover have a team in this year.

All entries had to be made before the 3rd of july, no more will be accepted now, as they have to have the complete list on entrants 28 days in advance to give to their insurers.

One vauxhall running this year for the first time ever, Sbd16v and me with his astra.

Sub 14 to qualify, but you need to be in the 12s to be anything like competitive really.

I think you just need a sh*t hot car to enter, one with proven bhp and times etc. Isn't it Redline magazine that run it? WOuld be an awesome day out, just think of the cars you'd see....

Would love to go, just a pity my car is killing my funds at the moment, Three new tyres needed, MOt due soon, Tax next month, insurance renewal end of this month. Comes round all at once.

Think my mate from blackpool is running his rs500 again this year, cant wait to see how he gets on this time as he had a few running problems. He had a Saph the year before that and first run of the day was up against a viper - 10.98 and left him for dust
