Oi, west mids lot get back to your own room.

Fair enough orange peal put a lot of effort into arranging the meet and didnt get any members turn up (for whatever reason). And from such a large amount of board users.
But 'slagging' them off isnt going to help, would it not have been better to post here and say "look at what a good time we had, shame you missed it"....

Im sure it was ment as a light hearted comment but isnt always taken that way, so be carefull who you offend.

just cos we cant make a meet doesnt mean we dont support the region,

shows are coming up very soon and priority has to be given to getting the cars ready for them over attending a meet, and others such as olly were working

Mazz - I seen what you put before editting the post, and all I can say is get over it

I was working that last Sunday, from 10am - 4pm, and the meet (which was over an hour away from me) started at 5pm.

I could not have made it, and if I could - I would have come.

Now I dont appreciate coming onto MIG to find damn right snotty threads from you, and your other 'West Mids Crew', especially in our regional forum.

Do you really think that next time there is a 'joint' meet - that we'd actually want to come anymore? after seeing this? I think not.

Reece is right anyway, he's put alot of hard work into his car, he goes college and doesn't get a lot of time to work on it.

If Sundays are the only days where he can work on his car to get it finished intime for 'show season' then so be it - whats the problem.

    FFS.

    ...............
I didnt want to post and add anything negative to this thread but I would like to say a few things.

Firstly, if you can't make the meet I have no problem with you not coming, especially if you are preparing you car or otherwise busy. After all there on every month so its not vitally important that you make every one and I appreciate that everyone has a life outside of MIG.

'My' main problem with this situatuion is that I get very few 'sorry I can't make it' PM's or replies to threads saying that its even a 50/50 if your going to turn up. Or I get people adding their names to the list then not turning up. Its very dissapointing for me when I initially get a good response to a meet then only I turn up!

It only common courtisy to say "Sorry Neil can't make this one" or "I'll let you know nearer the date"

I have to work all week, stay away from home working a good few times a month and sometime at the weekends yet I'll always make the effort to be at the meets as that my position of responsibility. All I as is that people communicate with me so I know the state of play. If you can't make one meet but are free the next week, let me know. I want the EM meets to be sucessful and fun.

I'm planning on talking to the EM people individually tomorrow at the show. Hopefully I'll get some positive feedback that can enable me to make the meets more popular.

    OP
