East Mids March 2005 Meet

G'day all.

I'm looking having this months meet down towards Leicester as the past few have been held around J25 (M1).. I know there are a few pubs around that area and initially thought of the Hobby Horse just off the A46 (unless another better place comes up)

Saturday the 19th March is the date I'd like to set. Meeting up at 12ish..

As always it would be nice to see as many people as possible and as I've got loads of space to post pics on Mig I'd like to start ASAP

I think Laura's (no not LauraLoo's/Pheobe before you all start) is coming down with me, should be interesting as the ex Jo lives in carbis Bay now which is right in the middle of Hayle and St Ives...
If Laura doesnt go then it will be a 100% lads holiday and we'll be getting drunk and finding lots of girls to turn us down

Nowt to do with me but maybe if you took as much interest in mig meets as u do your "Notts" meets then maybe there wouldnt be an issue?

i came to the last one didnt i???

my notts meeet has got nothing to do with mig, or trying to take over the meets

its simply a load of vauxhall owners off cruisenotts.com getting together

i post it on here to see if theres any interest,

sorry for being mistaken but i thought this was a vauxhall site and that people might be interested if there was some vauxhalls meeting up

instead they spit out their dummies!

AJ.. I've not got a problem with you organising meets if thats what you want to do but as you say, they have nothing to do with MIG. May I ask why you posted it in the MIG meet forum and also why you didnt take the common courtesy to ask when the EM's meet is or if the MIG admin mind you posting about a none MIG event.. Speaking only about the EM region, you know that its been hard trying to get the numbers up at the official MIG meets recently, so posting a very 'in your face' 'come to my meet' schelduled for the day after the EM meet is a little off!

If 'your' meets are a regular thing then why not PM me so we can coinside them with each other? If your posting on MIG you must want MIG members etc to come, thus meaning you are in direct compertition with us.

Yes you did come to the last meet, which is appreciated. But ususally you don't, even though you show interest in coming! I sent you (and a number of other EM Miggers) a PM on the 8th asking if you would come to this meet. This was well before any of this happened (you read it the same day) so clearly you had no intention of coming to this meet!

Refering to what Trig posted.. Its a shame we can't work together and integrate the meets or at least arange them for different time of the month..

I'm sorry your so angry over this.. Wonder how you would feel if it was the other way round?

I assure you that there was no rubbing it in your face done on purpose, and im sorry if you feel this way.

as explained, its a meet arranged by me, for members of Cruisenotts that own vauxhalls.

the reason i posted it on here is becuase i thought that if a few vauxhalls were getting together then some people of mig maybe interested.

i posted it in MIG events as it has an east midlands section and i assumed that would be the right place to put it!

as for your meet, well no i didnt intend in coming as its a saturday and i have plenty on on saturdays.

What annoyed me is that tom had to PM me and delete the thread rather than move it, because someone had complained. I have had no trouble like this on other sites as they seem to welcome the idea.

it would of been nice to hear directly off you and we could of truied to arrange something between us.

as far as im concerned it doesn't matter if people off mig turn up, no one did last time, and there was still around 30 cars there.

Like i say, i wasnt trying to step on anyones toes, it was simply a meet i was organising and i was letting people on mig know. it was an open invertation.

Just out of interest, rather than having your own Notts Cruise Vauxhall meet, why not point them in the direct of MIG... as a club - to get more members, thus more attendees at local meets.

You're a paid up member, why not get all the other CruiseNotts lads to join aswell?
