#26 | | Guest | basically when i had the xe in my car, the crank shaft end seal was leaking, we removed the engine and replaced it rather than fixing it.
in the end neil bought that block off me, and sealed up the crank shaft end seal, then fully rebuilt it etc...
finally built it all back up and put the engine back into his cally, started her up - to find that the crank shaft end seal hadn't actually 'sealled' thus still pouring with oil...
so it means either engine back out jobbie, or sorting it from underneath, splitting gearbox, removal of clutch & fly etc etc
either way - not a nice job after so much time effort and money  | |

| Engine out tbh, I wouldnt wanna mess about with it under the car for it not to work when u fire it up again, get it out do it properly and do it once... |
