Defo, if it's well known, and you've done some proper research you'll be fine.

My issue was the fact i thought the best and safest option was an MY99 UK. I didn't know at the time they had bakelite cam pulleys!!

I also have a huge issue with the silly money that Mk3 GSI turbo's go for (or asking prices) as that was the car I wanted, but I am not paying 3-4k for a 1992 shell with a 15 year old engine in it.

Least my 4k will get me a whole lot more evo.

I agree, my sorted gsi went for £4k, this gsi cost me £1700, and the engine will cost about £4-5k, has already set me back about £2700, and is still in bits, needs a turbo and emerald.

I would love to have an rx7 but ditch the wankel engine and stick a silly big twin turbo v8 in its place Or your right an rb30 would be nice

them wankel rotary engines are amazing why would you ever ditch them? lol i know they are a pig ass to work on but such massive BHP per CC is available and as all you let and Xe'rs know power to weight is the way forward :P. e.g. RX8 1300cc combustion capacity, 248bhp (i think) thats nuts! very smooth aswell as there is no lateral or horizontal movement. I went jap with a 1.5 SOHC vtec civic, was around 135bhp with some work done, very nippy car but cost me £2250 and had 120k on the clock. Its nuts! engine was sweet but at that mileage the maint costs are huge, bushes and bearings and **** like that. Then i brought the good old tigra which was a gem.... untill the incident. now its in bits ready for the red top :P. its mint underneath aswell, next to no rush (bar the normal arch bubbling). it had only done 58k when i brought it with full service history, cambelt, 6months tax, 10months M.O.T FULL chequeres 1.6 16v spec leather and air and sunroof etc. £1650. Bargain! dont think im stuck to 1 manaufacturer but i do love my vx!

will hopefully be about for the meets and shows within the next month or so, keep an eye out for a noisey silver and black tig :P

    !peace!

Oh i know, i used to have a vortech supercharged crx sel sol, my god it went like fookin stink, the brooooooommm-BRAAAAAAAAAAAAH of vtec only gets better when its on boost

The main reason i got away from jap stuff is, most people who own them are tossers at least all the ones i met, the forums are no place for newbies, they seem to love putting people down and in their eyes unless you follow the set course and do what everyone else is doing they hate your car

    Nothing like the vaux community

On a more annoying note im not sure if i can make the meet sunday yet as A; the van is ****ed B; I am skint and C; I have been put on the rota to work by my **** of a manager even after asking for it off nothing a phone call cant solve mind might have to roll out in the tank lol

Lol. We spent most of the time waving the menu around trying to swat them and drown them in Nickyboy's coke.
