| She's back!!
Drove her back home with no issues! 4x4 system works perfectly but was only tested then de-activated because the tyres are different sizes and would kill it under normal use.
The engine is evil, if you think that fitting an XE flywheel makes the V6 rev... make up some tubular manifolds!!! |

It's cool otherwise. If I could be bothered then I'd build something like that. I can't though

| Re: She's back!! Full spec:
1995 Calibra Turbo 4x4 chassis (facelift)
Full turbo 4x4 running gear inc. F28 6-speed gearbox
Uprated clutch consisting on F28 friction plate, 20XE pressure plate and 20XE flywheel
Ex-police Omega 3.0 M-V6 24v engine - top end fully rebuilt with new belt and rollers
Tubular steel exhaust manifolds, modified C25XE downpipes (to clear TXB) - heat wrapped (double wrapped when passing TXB) all the way to the lamda sensor
2.5" exhaust system made from: Standard C20LET CAT and midbox (all 2.5" bore), Longlife backbox and duplex tailpipes all heavily modded to sit into rear bumper (sounds deep and beefy but not loud)
Lowered 60mm front, 70mm rear on spax springs and adjustable shockers, rear camber adjusted to match front camber (so the TXB won't die)
Everything else is standard
I have driven a few standard 4x4 Turbos before and wasn't impressed with their off-boost drive-ability, the V6 really makes this car easy and drive at all revs and speeds. |

| Re: She's back!! Tis was a pleasure working on this car and with someone with a good knowledge of cars like johnnya.
And to let me drive the beast back from the unit to my house (via the car wash) was a real treat on the country roads.
The sound of the exhaust is smooth and not OTT but the power when you put your foot down esp on gravel when all for wheels are going (spinning in 1st, 2nd, 3rd) you can see how a simple mod and a few hours can pay off in a car like this.
Deff one of the cars to go on the JADE Performance Pin Board. |
