I spent way to much money this month

Payday is great shame it didn't last long!!

Was going to buy some wilwood 4 pot brakes this month, but spotted a different bonnet going very VERY cheap, custom carbon fibre bonnet with bonnet extensions and headlight covers blended in with extended wings included for 275

This is how it looked on the other car

So hope to have the wings and bonnet sprayed soon.

Also need better braking so purchased some VXR brakes, 322mm setup with calipers, pads, carriers and discs.

Then to top it off, brought the piping needed to fit my FMIC, so going to be busy next week

Well it gives you more time to get it sorted for the 09' season

Please tell me your colour coding said bonnet??

Makes me want to spend, spend, spend on mine but with having to move in November now, I can't see the car getting any goodies now

Keep us posted Lee...oh & watch out for those pesky wiper bandits lmao

Just make sure you fit the 2nd're catch to the bonnet, i've see the wind left that one and pull the dick/pin out of it...

Re: I spent way to much money this month

Oh yes I am painting it all up, my old bonnet needed a spray anyhow as it was stone chipped to hell and back.

The grille is also blended in so not sure what I will do with the bonnet catch as it has been removed (apart from the center pin) and that is a good heads up about the wind Benn

Still trying to get some 17" alloys and next month going for a rear anti roll bar and some coil overs, so with the 17's it should handle nicely

Re: I spent way to much money this month

I have bonnet and wings now, picked it up from Portsmouth

It has the eyebrows and bonnet extention blended in, also the wings have been extended over the headlights, the driver side wing has a Merc sprinter vent and the side lights are alfa 156, the grille is lexmaul.

    Colour is currently kings blue

On the bonnet vent the carbon look was left and the paint blended in up the bonnet.

He also had a flushed back done too

Re: I spent way to much money this month

Ah yeah thats it, its andys (norms) bonnets painted around the edges cause he got it cheap ish cause it had damaged edges, so we painted just the out sides leaving the carbon to show thru in the middle. As you can see he didnt had the 2nd catch, and the bonnet came up on the mnotorway, the lip at the back that hides the wipers cut thru the screen right in front of his face. He came staright to us in a very shaken state.

Has it had a mag shoot done? Pics look like that.

I loved your car as it was, like the FMIC. I will reserve judgement on the bonnet
    Jack said,

Surely you are only pulling it one way though? ie. you are pulling it along its length.

Like the bonnet but not a fan of the pins, will look good with the wings.
Not a fan of that bumper with the i/c in, dont like the way it pushes the middle down.. Maybe a gsi one?

I will have to think about the bumper now, maybe GSI, had to chop this one back alot just to fit it and even now it's a squeeze

Re: I spent way to much money this month

Few changes means I wont be fitting the bonnet, so they up for sale, fitted the VXR brakes only to find my alloys dont clear the calipers!!! Had to buy some 3mm spacers, but wheels shook like mad so have now swapped the 18's for some SE2 17's

Re: I spent way to much money this month

if the wheels shook after fitting spacers:
    Spacers are ****ed (poor quality)
    You didn't fit them correctly/straight
You knocked a wheel weight off when trying to fit the 18s over the VXR brakes

Either way swopping them for VX standard 17s is a bit silly

Ok VXR turbo on it's way, with VXR injectors and a VXR AFM, should be good for near on 300 ponies when I get it mapped
