Ticking when ?From where ? Cold? Warm ?
A bit more info would help.

it drinks oil the tickin is when i accelarate hard when warm then when cold its there normal accelation very smoky when booting it ?

Colour of smoke is important.

Ticking doesn't mean tappets, and even if it was tappets it could be an oil pressure problem.

Why not get a VXL technician to look at it & give you an idea...give me a bell if you need a hand
