| Tony is ok, Jamie. He has a good rep round here as a decent painter and fitter.
I doubt he'd put his name to a 2nd hand 888 kit tbh, seeing as all he has to do is spray it and fit it, it's not really his own work. He'll advertise on cars who have had custom paint jobs and kits fitted. I know it'll be original etc, but it's not his 'own' work as such. I think he'd be more interested if Charlies car had magazine shoots arranged etc He doesn't stick his logo onto his paint, his logo's go in the rear window, I've seen 2 or 3 cars driving around the area, all his own custom spray and fit work with 'BODYTONE' in the back windows. Never on the actual paint though.
I'm happy to go along with Charlie to sort it out, but I'm sure he's big enough to sort himself out |

| Kit is from Ebay, car was damaged in the floods so they stripped the car and sold the kit seperately. I believe it was bought on Ebay for peanuts, then sold on again, on Ebay for a huge profit. Presumably because these kits never come up for sale. |

| hummmm....that will be fun to fit. ask your insurance comp what they will need from the fitter to cover the swap so you know you new bumpers are covered.. |

Charlie, I know you've had loads of support on AON & AOC etc and I'm not having a go, but tbh my advise would be to Irmscher your car up and make it look good that way.
IMO you haven't really thought about this much. You have to think about spraying and fitting costs, then the cost for getting it insured with a non-standard kit etc Also the strain the kit will place on your engine, the kit was designed for a turbo engined car, with bigger brakes and engine etc, the strain fitting this kit will place on your engine and the impact on braking will be immediately obvious.
I'm not saying this cos I'm jealous or because I feel the need to piss on your fire or anything, I'm saying this cos I don't want to hear you've stacked it into another tree, this time with fatal consequences. |

Work it in your favour and make small mods first, kits can come later. |

| Kits can come as soon as you like, the realisation that they are heavy (heavier than standard) and require uprated braking etc should come even earlier.
I told you not to bother with this kit on the phone (twice if I remember correctly), and the fact you spoke to Bex saying I'd had 'a go' at you on here annoys me slightly. The fact the kids on AON said 'dooo iiiiit' annoys me even more, cos you've been given bad advice. Ask Jamie via PM, and he'll explain exactly why this kit is a bad idea |

and i am not 100% in on buying this yet it is being provisionally held with no deposit on it i could back out soon but it has to be sooner rather than later. i may just buy some engine bits and do a trip to jamies if he is interested in fitting some components for me. i still have to way up all the pro's and con's. tobe honest i think you are right the con's are overpowering the pro's atm.
on the insurance fron the will be nothing added to my premium just an extra 100 on my excess.
just for a matter of thinking jamie what would you want to fit a miltek cat back a sports cat and an exhaust manifold???

| 1.8 and performance mods dont really go together, would be easier to XE the coupe and have just under 160bhp for £500 |

| Stick an XE in it, can be bought for less than £300. 156bhp straight out the box and plenty left over for mods |
