    New Meet Pub

Well after it's turned into a poo hole, mostly in the kitchen, we will be going to a new pub next month.

The ones i can think off the top or my head are:-

    Toby Carvery - MK

    http://www.toby-carvery.co.uk/toby_r...D1138%26c1%3D1

    Old Red Lion
    Bedford Road
    Houghton Regis
    Dunstable
    LU5 6JR

My Favorite, plus i know it has a big car park

    Crows Nest - Beefeater

    Tring Hill
    Tring
    Hertfordshire
    HP23 4LD

    The Barn

    Secklow Gate West - Beefeater
    Milton Keynes
    MK9 3BZ

Any other idea please throw in, please remember:-

    Bigish, free car park,
    Cheapish good food,
    Non-posh
Central to the boundaries, i.e. Oxford and Northants.

TBH, unless you have Halfords spoilers, Lexarse lights, or a bonnet vent the size of a small country, you should be okay.

Saying that, we are a friendly bunch, and won't hit you with sticks.

Well, Aylesbury is an hour for us to get to and MK/Dunstable etc is further...at least an hour and a half to 2 hours.

I vote for Tring, The Old Red Lion is an hour and half for me, John and 2 hrs for Becky, Andy, Ben etc.

Only prob with the Carvery although very cheap and ace food is that you have to wait ages for food especially on a Sunday.

Thing is I'm not sure I'd be willing to travel 2hrs just for pub food, Bex feels the same.

If it's going to end up an hour and a half away it'll be quicker and easier for us to go to South Central meets.

The one we used to go to, has been re-done and is now a high end Steakhouse so not sure if still suitable for us.

    Marlow is even better.

I don't mean to be awkward...problem 'we've' got is the region itself. It's massive.

One place is easy for certain members, another is better for others.

TBH if I have to travel more than an hour it's not really worth it. South Central meets are closer even now, as they are 40 mins away, yet The Bell is an hour. Even if the meets were in Didcot/Oxford, Bex and I would still have to drive 45mins to get there.

Personally, I think we need to look at the region as a whole and maybe drop off the southern lot into 'South Central'.

    Just my thoughts.
