Has been discussed at length before you came along and the word from Tom was that it wouldnt be broken up. Daft idea as you said considering the size of the damn area and the fact most of the driving to meets are cross country so take twice as long.

I know it's been talked about

Thing is...what's the point driving 1.5/2 hrs to a meet when we can get to a South Central Meet in less time?

TBH if the meets end up in MK/Dunstable/Tring...I'll just go to SC meets anyway...like I say, I don't want to be awkward, but if I can get to SC in 45 mins, why would I go to a meet 2hrs away?

If the region decides my drive WILL be 2hrs, then it'll lose 2 members, one an already established RO, cos I know Bex won't travel any further.

Pointless.

I agree completely

When i was a co-ord we moved the venues to various places and it just didnt work so it ended back in Aylesbury. As you said the region just wont work the size it is.

Well, Bex said why don't we have meets 'within the region'...

Even that wouldn't work...1 or 3 people here, 2 or 3 people there...no point.

I suppose what I'm saying is...I'm not prepeared to travel more than an hour to meets. Aylesbury was fine cos we knew where it was and we knew how to get there. If meets end up in MK/Dunstable/Tring...then it's just not worth our while. End of discussion, as far as we're concerned.

I could suggest that place we went to with TomH in Didcot...but that would be too far for the northern guys again.

'Central' needs breaking up, it's just too stupidly big. Sorry, but it is.

what happeneed to have central north and central south cos for me to get to the old meets was just over an hour away, not really local, don't mind the driving but it's the hassle.

When we split it north/south we only got about 3 people per meet, inc the co-ord.

We have a similar prob in westmids... divided between north and south.

Have you thought of having 2 locations and alternating between them each month? Then the people travelling a long distance only have to do it every 2 months. 6 times a year... surely not that much hassle?

How about we go with the original decision to decide where 'central' was for the regular's? Jamie, you had a suggestion on sunday, could you do that for us??

I popped to The Three Horseshoes lastnight in Marlow...nice big car park! I'll post some pic's once I've spoken to the licensee
