How to waste money, central style

Turn up to a central meet.

The attendance list looks good on the threads, but don't be fooled. Due to the unique level of devotion that only comes with being in the central region a procedure is followed thus: people moan and request a meet/event (in this case santa pod), putting your name down for it, then backing out at the last minute or just not show with some readily cooked up excuses (a pre-produced list of lame excuses will be available for download soon)

    Today I wasted:
£20 for me and Julie to get in
    £15 of fuel
£10 for food and drinks over the day
    Most of Sunday time-wise

Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy seeing Nobbie, Jane and Jamie (the only other central member's who attended) but I could have done that in a warm pub somewhere with them and would have cost half what I spent today.

I have got too much work with the cars to do to put myself away from them to spend a day freezing my tits off and not see anyone, with this in mind I doubt I will be attending central-based meets for a while as not only do I need to work on my mum's calibra and my own Carlton but I just can't be f*cked to waste more money and fuel.

    John.

P.S Thanks going out to Nobbie for organising the Santa pod meet.

Thats why i didnt go, i wasnt exactly flush with cash and i knew only the usualy few would be there so i spent my time plastering which desperately needed doing. Had it been at the Bell then i would have gone as we can sit in the warm and have food and a chat. Cant really do that at Pod.

    loads of things
Me and Emma had a good time (and the two young tag-alongs we had also loved it) as johnny said it was a bit of a poor show but the gang that made it made the day. Roll on warmer weather and no christmas spend credit-card bills coming in.

Well, I stand guilty as charged, but if it makes you feel any better I only made it to 1 out of 4 things this weekend, and that wiped me out. I missed out on my mates leaving do (for 1 or 2 years to the states) and the ace cafe night.
