We have been quite bored at work over the past week, coming up to Christmas garages are closing early and stuff so not many calls coming through.
This gave me lots of time to mess about at work.
Now as you know Lotus Carlton bits are hard to find, most parts (even common service items) are marked 'NLS' in EPC, which means 'No Longer Serviced'. Part of the build for my Carlton was to replace all bushes with new ones, I know that Lotus Carlton ones are very very strong compared to standard but again you can't get them. For example the big donut bushes on the rear are prone to becomming soft after a little hard use.. this causes a heavy knocking noise... but LC ones are so tough it doesn't happen... even on 10 year old Lotus Carltons with their original bushes.
Same goes for the lower arm donut bushes. These two pairs of bushes are ones that I have been after for AGES but cannot get. A chap on Autobahnstormers purchases all the remaining front lower arm ones and will only sell to LC owners. But I have found a way to get all these bushes.... even the entire lower arms off LC's (they offer a wider track than standard arms) for less money than standard Carlton lower arms, I can also even get the rear bushes which arn't even listed on EPC AT ALL!!
Just ordered up a pair of Genuine Lotus Carlton rear donut bushes for the rear and also a pair of lower arms complete with bushes!!
Well chuft me, someone please give me a medal lmao
