how well is it running john? has the gearbox/flywheel conversion made any difference "power" wise? I should imagine you've reduced the transmission loses?

I hope 280ish, even with my knackered Turbo!

transmission losses reduced, it will rev faster too. However I don't think these will effect the RR result, however on the road it is faster.Originally Posted by Rosh

transmission losses will be set by the operator tho, so will be at 20% or what ever he sets regardless of what you have done.... unless your going by the wheel figure?
i predict 160-170 with mine, not 100% sure as it is still in bits lol! better get it run in in time lol
WHAT? do you even know how its done?Originally Posted by broster
Why do you think they let the engine drive itself down after they have reved it? The dyno calculates the amount of drag the gearbox/transmission is generating then adds it to your bhp@the wheels figure to give you a BHP at the fly figure.
lmao

i have always assumed that the operator inputs the transmission losses, hence the results vary and the wheel figure is more accurate!.... forgive me if im wrong.....
Easy mistake to make, before i went to my first RR i thought along the same lines, then i wondered why they did a 'test run'.
