    New car.....S

As some of you know the Calibra Turbo has been ****ing me off recently. So I have decided to break it, keeping the shell for mumsie as its mint and she wants it.

First off the water pump goes, so I have to wait until I have time to fix it, £50 later the car works again. works fine for 2 days then the car dumps its PAS fluid all down my road. So again I wait 4 days until I have time off work to have a look, ow nice the ram seal in the TXB has gone!

A quick bypass of the TXB system and £10 later the PAS system works again but the PAS pump is making dodgy noises. It still works so I think fook it.

That night I decide to go to MK cruise with some mates from my area. Most of the way I take it easy and only come on boost a few times. The engine is going well and so is the car. Until we get to the cruise that is! I park up and so does a friend next to me in his Rover. We get out only to find his bonnet covered in spats of oil (from my turbo).

At this moment I am pretty ****ed. So I think fook it and decide to break the car.

    So coming up.....

Car no. 1: This will replace my daily car and also for the time being my only roadworthy car.
A Carlton GSi 3000 24v RWD drifting tank!

Car no. 2: This is a donor for the calibra Turbo's shell.
    A Silver cav GSi

Both arriving on Tuesday. Man the neighbours are going to hate me!

sounds like good fun if not a bit annoying john.
I am assuming the silver gsi is the donor for the engine for the calibra.

whats happening with the LET then?

    Re: New car.....S

just a thought, the bits of oil on the guys bonnet, are they not power steering/tx box oil mix letting go from the back of the car where it has travelled along the car?

mine covered the back of my car in the tiny little globules that had gone all the way down the car as i was travelling

just a thought might not be the engine thats up the kyber

its hot oil (burnt his paintwork), and the engine is using up oil.

If I don't sell the engine soon I am keeping it for SEF or poss something different

Too soon, too cold. Engine would need repairing and a lot of work required. I have also found out that the rear diff isn't man enough to take the power for any length of time.

It would also put me out of pocket. This method I am using means I have £1000 after I buy the cars to mess about with.

    Re: New car.....S

    plan of action:
    Buy Carlton GSi -£1000
Repair Cav V6 and sell it +£800ish
Purchase and break Cav GSi -£300
Rebuild Cally with Cav GSi parts
    Sell engine and box £1200ish
Other parts for sale (exhaust, dump valve, etc...)

I won't have any trouble selling the Cav V6 as I have someone who desperately needs a car. I know I paid *cough*nothing*cough* for the car, but since then its been repaired and valeted. Before I sell it I am doing a service on it (oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter), getting a parcel shelf, rear headrests and boot carpet for it.

What has me is that I paid nowt for it and yet EVERYTHING works on it! even the heater control bulbs. Nothing rattles even over potholes!
