    Thumbs up Calibra - '96 4x4 Turbo - Updated

4x4 Calibra Turbo for sale. Good condition, low miles (61,000), FVSH to 2001. A chance to own a car that is becoming difficult to source such a noble example. Registered in August 1996 on a “P” plate making it one of the very last.

Elegant standard bodywork with genuine Irmscher spoiler (with brake light) finished in titanium silver. Crème leather interior with heated seats up front. Trip computer and CD head unit. Expensive Clifford alarm fitted (CAT 1 with certificate) with high security features.

    No expense spared maintaining:

Recent EBC grooved and drilled front discs with Greenstuff pads
New clutch and flywheel fitted by Vauxhall dealer
    New ambient temperature sensor
    New distributor cap and rotor
    New HT leads
    New fuel filter
    New air filter
    New pollen filter
    New Bosch lambda sensor
    New washer bottle sensor
    New coolant level sensor
    New coolant temperature sensor
New rear brake discs and pads
    New accumulator
    + More

I have owned Calibra’s for the last 4 years starting with a late XE model. 2 years ago I decided upon a 4x4 Turbo and spent months waiting for the right one. I have seen the usual dodgy cars out there with blown transfer boxes, etc. My example has been treated with respect and as such covered 11,000 miles in my ownership.

Oil and oil filter changes carried out at 3k mile intervals. Turbocharger has seen cool down period. Transfer box remains working having rotated tyres every 3k miles. I ensured all four tyres were changed and kept to same brand.

Lifetime guarantee on costly full stainless steel powerflow exhaust.

    Tax and tested

I’d like to see this car go to an enthusiast who will treat it with the same appreciation I have.

    £5,495.00 ono.

If you would like to phone me send a PM and I’ll pass my telephone number on.

    Please no time wasters.

    Right...

Looks like I'll be keeping and selling in August. Reason being my current insurers are trying to scam me on my next car! If I cancel I'll lose 40% and have been insured only one month. They want £500 on top of the Calibra inusrance (where Tesco would have only charged £95). Also they are saying a CAT1 isn't enough and I must have a tracker. The car would have been a 328i convertible but they wouldn't even allow me to have a M-Tech kit as it would resemble an M3 too much!

So I'll wait until my policy expires with these robbing barstewards.
