For sale is my Astra MK3 GSi 1.8 16v in blue.
MOT till 1st November 2012.
Tax till end of January 2012.
C18XE engine. Clock says 148000 miles but sounds and goes perfectly well. Don't know full history of car so I don't know if this is since factory or has had a rebuild at some point. Usual tappet sound on cold start that clears within a few seconds. Recently changed faulty AFM but also idle valve due to incorrect fault diagnosis.
F20 4WD gearbox converted to 2WD. Brand new clutch fitted in May when swapped out the old F18. Short ratio gearbox, would top out at 128mph in 5th I think at 6000rpm.
17in wolfrace 5 spoke alloys with 205/40/17 tyres. 2 Front tyres are very recently changed and have not covered many miles. Back tyres still have plenty of grip.
Induction kit. Sounds much nicer than the redtop C20XE (Engine is C18XE).
Stainless CAT back exhaust with single rear silencer dual 3" round. Sounds nice, quite loud but doesn't go raspy at high rpm.
Front and back Calibra leather seats.
Infinity front 6" Component speakers with tweeters and Crossovers.
Paintwork is mostly ok, some peeled lacquer on the bonnet and paint chips and peeling in places. Dent in drivers door, not noticeable from all angles. These problems are something that has been there since purchase. I have looked after the car mechanically as best I can but paintwork is a big expense I'm not willing to pay. I'm looking for an economical car now otherwise id strip it down for a respray and keep it. Polished up it looks acceptable for its age (17 years!).
