VW Golf 1.8 20v Turbo, Cosmic Green, Good Cond, Subtle Mods £1700

VW Golf GTI in "Cosmic Green" (a very rare colour with this engine fitted in 3 door form), 1999, V reg, 3 door, 1.8 20v Turbo engine. 150,000 miles (used daily and trust me you'd never notice the milage). Taxed and MOT'd until March 2012, usual GTI spec with Recaro interior and additional electric sunroof and cruise control options. Car is in good condition inside and out and is reliable and dependable. Runs and drives great. HPI clear.

General specification of the car (including some subtle modifications and enhancements as you can see, all done to a high standard):

- 1.8 20v turbocharged AGU engine, KO3 turbo
- APR stage one remap for 95RON fuel (done at Awesome GTI)
- NGK Platinum spark plugs
- Forge 007p uprated recirculation valve
- Recent engine mounts and Powerflex poly dog bone mount
- G60/VR6 single mass conversion (Valeo)
- Custom non resonated cat-back stealth (hidden) exhaust
- Jamex Lowering Kit (approx 45mm to 50mm all round, rear springs custom made to order)

- Smaller rear badge from VW Passat and otherwise debadged

- All front light bulbs uprated from standard items
- Recaro interior in dark grey
- Golf R32 ashtray, gearstick gaitor and brushed aluminium door pulls
- Black door handles and rear view mirror to replace wood/cream trim

All in all a great car; reliable, dependable, well maintained and looked after, plenty spent mainly on maintenance and a few subtle additions. It has a folder full of receipts since my ownership. Work done includes oil changes every 5000-6000 miles with Quantum Platinum 5w/40 Fully Synthetic Oil. Cambelt (full kit inc hydraulic tensioner often missed), waterpump, coolant flush, thermostat, aux belt, fuel filter were all done at 131,000 miles. General maintenance there on after which can be documented via receipts/paperwork (such as gearbox oil change, brake fluid change, NGK plugs, new back brakes etc).

The obligatory bad points: There are a few marks around the body to be expected due to age but good condition generally with minimal interior wear. Needs a clutch pedal switch as the cruise control sometimes won't engage due to this. Rear washer needs a replacement brass pipe fitting (they corrode and snap so water stops flowing through). Front tyres due soon.

Just had a fresh oil change and new air filter ready for it's new owner.
