Cavalier Turbo For Sale
Cavalier Turbo 4x4.
M plate 1994.
Satin Red.
191k miles.
Meticulously maintained by me and the previous owners.
Will come with 12 months MOT.
5 1/2 months Tax.
Recent full service, including all fliuds and filters, spark plugs, cambelt, tensioner, rollers and water pump.
I have owned it for over 2 1/2 years and will be very sorry to see it go. It has been a very good car to me, and I have had a lot of fun with it, but with the mileage I currently do I need something a little cheaper to run. I have no space or time to keep a second car, so unfortunately for me the Cav has to go.
I have loads of old MOTs, paperwork/receipts etc for the car.
Good bits:
Genuine VMAX EVO 3 ECU.
Large FMIC.
TX Autosport uprated Actuator.
Uprated 255LPH fuel pump.
Saab red injectors.
Full Scorpion Stainless Decat exhaust system.
259bhp, 320lb/ft at the last RR, that was with a smaller FMIC and standard injectors.
AEM Wideband kit.
Turbosmart boost gauge.
Turbosmart boost controller.
Eibach PROKIT 30mm lowered springs.
KONI adjustable shock absorbers.
Standard wheels refurbed in Audi Titan Grey.
4x Falken ZIEX912 tyres, all with good tread.
Brakes all in good order, Mintex discs and pads, HEL braided lines and Dot 5.1 fluid.
Full panels-off professional respray 3 1/2 years ago.
Sterling Cat 1 Alarm and Immobiliser.
2 keys and alarm fobs.
Full leather interior in very good condition.
Richbrook leather 3 spoke steering wheel and matching leather gearknob.
Black fitted velour floor mats.
Cruise control system retrofitted from an Omega.
One-touch Omega electric sunroof.
Calibra oil pressure/voltage gauges.
Pioneer bluetooth head unit.
Proper smoked front indicators from Germany (very rare).
Will come with plenty of spares including MH locked transfer box, refurbed gear linkage and GM clutch kit.
Solid shell, no structural rot, any found has been cut out and fresh steel welded in.
Bad Bits:
4x4 currently not working, but a locked TXB will come with the car to resolve this.
Bearing on propshaft has some play, so will need sorting/replacing when the locked box is fitted.
Rear engine/gearbox mount has some play, but easily changed when doing the transfer box.
Both rear arches will require attention in the not too distant future. They were done at the time of the respray but are starting to bubble again. They are not holed, so I would think they should be salvageable with a grind back, treatment and respray.
Front end has become quite stonechipped, so could do with a freshen up if you are fussy.
So, all in all, not perfect, but a good honest example of a well looked after, mildly, tastefully and sensibly modified Cav Turbo that would not take too much work to make really good.
This is the car used by Total Vauxhall for the buyers guide in the May 2011 issue!
Located in Moreton, Wirral, CH46.
£2250 for quick sale. No swaps or PX (I have already got the replacement). No test pilots - proof of insurance will be required before I allow anyone to test drive it. I am happy to take potential buyers as passengers though if required.
