I originally bought this car 5 months ago from a nice lady via eBay, with the intention of fitting a C20XE. Whilst prepping the XE I found the block was cracked, so scrapped the idea and set about giving the Corsa some love. Now it's in a very good state, I don't really use it much so I'm offering it for sale.
Bad points:
Dent on n/s rear quarter. It's mostly pushed out, but you can see a slight ripple.
Rust scabs on passenger wing and bottom of driver's door.
One key and fob for remote locking and immobiliser.
Good points:
MOT till March 12, 2011.
6 months tax.
New front and rear coilovers fitted. It's about 35mm lower and I've set the adjustable camber back to factory setting, so no silly negative camber. Tracking reset, too. Steering wheel straight ahead.
New condenser fitted, air con fully gassed, oiled and works perfectly.
4 new Toyo Proxes TR-1 tyres
Exhaust very new, including cat, still under warranty.
New rear brake cylinders
New rear wheel bearings.
New 256mm front discs and pads, with stripped and rebuilt calipers.
Brake fluid renewed with 5.1.
New Cam belt and rollers.
Newish wiper arms (no usual slop as on most Corsa Bs), new wiper blades front and rear.
I've changed the oil twice since I've had it, and it's got fresh GM pink anti-freeze.
New plugs, air and pollen filters.
Interior good, no rips especially on driver's seat bolster.
Engine runs very nicely, no prolems at all. Even the SAI system works. 111k miles.
New dash bulbs.
I went a bit crazy with it on the ramp. I've painted the floor and fuel tank with underseal and injected the sills and front and rear chassis members with wax seal, and around the front end whilst I was fitting the condensor.
New plain slatted grille.
New aerial base gasket.
No usual Corsa rust around the rear wiper or B pillar splits.
I've also fitted under-bonnet and glovebox lights (!), bonnet lifters and Mk4 Astra side repeaters.
The front edge of the bonnet was crusty with rust. I had it repaired to a very high standard, you can just about see the line between old and new paint.
Remote central locking, electric windows and mirrors all work fine. It also has PAS.
Now has Astra 15" alloys with brand new Toyo Proxes TR-1 195/50 tyres:
For another £30 I will leave the CDR500 in it (no radio otherwise, but no cut wires to worry about).
It's road legal and ready to go! It's at my home in Fareham, Hampshire and the V5 is present and in my name. There is some previous service history and I've documented everything I've done to it.
No swaps thanks, and I'm not really open to negotiation due to the money I've spent on it. The tyres were £200 alone.
