Good Points:
In the summer last year the original turbo died, so I bought a brand new genuine VXR Turbo unit from Vauxhall and sent it off to CR Turbos to be strenghtened and uprated. The work included a stronger 360 degree bearing and twin oil seals. I also had an uprated actuator fitted so its ready for higher boost and a remap.
I've recently replaced the cambelt, so the new owner can have piece of mind. Within the last six months the car has had new tyres and new brakes all round.
The car comes with a stainless boost pipe and a new Collins dump valve, aswell as all new silicone vacuum pipework. I've also plumbed in the pipework for a boost gauge, should the new owner want to fit one.
I've colour coded the centre console to match the Star Silver exterior. This looks much better than the standard grey!
The car is lowered around 50/60mm on lowering springs, these were fitted when I bought the car. These give the car a much nicer road stance!
I have sound deadened the front doors and rear quarter panels. This makes a massive difference if you plan to install a sound system. It also gives the doors a nice thud when you shut them (like a Golf ;-).
All panels are straight and there are no dings or dents that I can find.
Bad Points (yes, every car has them!):
A couple of the alloys have kerbing, they still come up lovely when clean but it needs to be mentioned I think.
The rear bumper corners are a little scruffy but I have touched them up and that has made a big improvement.
There is wear on the drivers side bolster, and a small hole. Easy to have repaired though.
Please note that none of the above takes anything away from the overall look of the car.
The car is mechanically sound, the engine is strong and all the electrics work. I am a car enthusiast, and currently a paid up member of a Vauxhall Owners Club. No expense has been spared on the car.
Reason for sale:
The car is my wifes daily drive but she has her heart set on a Mini Cooper S. Seeing as I have a company car now and don't get to drive the Coupe that often, we have decided to sell it on in favor of a Mini.
