I cannot emphasise how well this saxo drives - it has been owned by a friend of mine since 2004 and I have personally done over 2000 miles since i purchased it 6 weeks ago - It drives better than saxo's of half it's mileage and does not use any oil or water at all. There is also no smoke from the exhaust, even from cold. Aside from a fuel pump (which was done at Citreon in 2007) there has been no problems with this car in the last 4 years i've known it and the only advisory on the last mot was a N/S strut top mount. I have had this inspected on a ramp and advised that there wasn't sufficient play to warrant changing it but i'm more than happy to supply the part at the time of sale if required.
Lots of new parts recently fitted:
* O/S Driveshaft,
* Rocker Cover,
* Ignition Barrel Wiring (Common Saxo Fault),
* 2 Brand New Tyres
* Oil & Filter Change
Apart from the standard VTR features this car also has a 4" Stainless Cat-Back Mild Sport Tone Exhaust System from Longlife (Cardiff).
As any car there are always a few bad points and this car is no different, these being:
* There is a small tear to the stiching of the drivers seat (pic below)
* Someone has tried to break into the drivers door lock at some point however the car has remote central locking so this is not an issue, i didn't even notice it when i brought it.
* The Strut Top mount was an advisory on the last MOT - it is still MOT passable and has not got worst.
I welcome any test drive as long as proof of insurance can be provided. I also welcome any inspection be it professional or otherwise. The only reason that i am selling this car is because i am 6ft 8" so i do not fit in it and as a result i have brought a Calibra V6.
