FTAO People That Use The Redline Alloy Valve Caps
Magazine cover Giveaways
I had all my original Valve caps stolen so i was well chuffed when i saw that Redline were giving a set away with their magazine. They didnt weigh half as much as the original caps but i thought what the hell they still look better than open valve tops so i screwed them on. On Saturday i went to check my tire pressures and i couldn't get the caps off; strange I didn't think i had screwed them on that tight so i went off in search of a 10mm socket/driver. As i tried to undo the caps i could hear escaping air and i realised it was twisting the whole valve!
I ended up having to grip the body of the valve with pliers and unscrewing with the socket. When i got the cap off i realised it had corroded inside and stuck itself solid to the valve
If i had continued to try and unscrew the cap with the socket/driver i would have undoubtably ruined the valve so if you have a Redline (or cheap set) on check them ASAP.

I put the free ones on mine. the local kids didn't have much trouble getting them off
But hopefully they'll have trouble when they get flats on their bmx's.

I think it was over 6 months ago when they were fitted so i reckon you should check them if they have been on a few Months.
