Thumbs up My neat solution for storing cable ties!

    1. Take some aluminium drinks cans (not steel). Energy drinks are good sources.

    2. Use a stanley knife to cut the top open (around the ring pull)

    3. De-burr with a half round file

    4. Pop rivet or bolt them to aluminium angle, or a piece of flat that's slightly longer than the can itself.

    5. Pop rivet or bolt the aluminium angle/flat to something in your garage! Or to wall plugs!

    The result...

Mine's mounted just over my workbench, so they are always easily accessible

    Total cost - pennies!

    Cool idea.

I dare any of you to tell me you wouldn't let this upstanding young citizen slob on your knob like corn on the cob.

I reckon it would look best with the 3 cans in a line, sorting the ties by length.

Time to make a Mk2 version I reckon

Cool idea, I use pringles tubes and cut down to suit the size of cable tie

Can you use a regular can opener?
    They're there, in their room.

I didn't think of that! Although I was trying to retain as much of the thick lip as possible for strength. I suspect a can opener would remove that, leaving you with a sharp, weak edge
