Question Optional Extra's on BUCKET Seats?!?!

Getting reclining bucket seats.... £850 for pair with subframes.

is it worth getting OPTIONAL EXTRA's (per seat)

    - extra LUMBAR Support (2 or 4 way) = £90-£150

    - ELECTRIC adjustment of lumbar support = £140

    - ELECTRIC reclining backrest = £130

    - HEATED Seats = £85

I would definately get the lumbar support.
I always get a backache in lower back without it.

Dont know what the 2-4 way is, but on the mk4 astra coupe seats there is so much, I have it on about half setting, but it really helps.

The bucket seats have lumbar support anyway...this is EXTRA adjustment of the lumbar.

2 way and 4 way ...think so you can move it more in and out and up & down?

or is the usual standard lumbar support in the bucket seats enough?

2 way adjustment is IN and OUT for the lumbar support.
    £90 per seat = £180

4 way also includes moving the lumbar support UP and DOWN.
    £150 per seat = £300

    ...can be quite expensive....!
as I also want the heated seats on synthetic leather.
    £85 each = £170

Leg extension (so a bit comes out like on the recaros'0
    £15 each = £30

thats alot of money on "extra's" huh?

the leg extension is pretty cool, worth the money I reckon.
It would be amazing to have all those extras but as u say - lots of wedge needs to be spent.

Get it all, but only on the drivers seat. Passengers won't use it.

If you got tha £££ go for it, can always shove the seats in your next car, think of it that way

i would only get 2 way though, anything to help your bak, electric recliner sounds a good option

whats seats are they? they sound like a rip off, £80 for a subframe???
I wouldnt bother with the electrics or the heated part myself, I would just get some confortable seats.

I think £490 for one is excessive, but just put the goodies you want extra on the drivers seat, that'll help with the cost.

** edit ** just seen pic, very nice.

my girlfriend has gotta have a heated seat! (passenger)
it'll make her like the car (more) when she sits in it in cold winter

All the electric stuff is nice ...but thinking of leaving it out, as that'll save me £270 on drivers seat.
...but just have the manual adjusters for lumbar and recliner...
    (£640 instead of £910) + £490 = £1130, instead of £1400.

    In my opinion, you've:

A: Got farrr too much money

    and

B: are too nice with your burd,

Tell her to bring a hot water bottle out with her...

I reckon that seems a fair price to pay.

I paid £1000 for a pair of second hand seats which have no adjustment whatsoever.

Mine are the Blitz Racing Carbon/Kevlar bucket seats (these are also made by Konig)

PM Nova-X. He's got those seats and they're the business. well comfy. Would go for manual lumbar support and the heating if it was me. If you really must go for the extra leg support. BTW the subframes were excellent fit in his too. Have seen some from other manufacturers that are a a joke to fit.

Thanks Vaux-MD'ers...spoke to Nova-X, same sorta price as above.

The gf has to be comfortable ...I care for her more than the car!
She won't need the extra lumbar adjustment as she is a very little girl! whereas I'm over 6ft!

    So its decided then:

    Drivers Seat = £640

    £325 Seat
    £80 Subframe
    £85 heated seat
    £150 4 way lumbar support

    Passenger Seat = £490

    £325 seat
    £80 subframe
    £85 heated seat

TOTAL for both seats = £1130

I'm getting £50 off, and delivered to my door.
    £1050

I'm gonna try and get gf to pay for her seat though, as my birthday present!! ...I can always hope!
