    Warwick Retro car show

Was invited to a random car show in Warwick by one of the girls I work with. It was a bit weird, the only stipulation was that your car had to be made before 1990. It was awesome though, just a load of cars parked in the middle of Warwick.

This is on my Christmas list, just in case anyone is feeling especially generous!!

    Little baby 500.

    Big new 500!

I've seen this Rover somewhere before. Retro Rides maybe? Not sure.

Nice to see an old Land Rover, brought back a few memories.

Nice Morris Minor. Hang on a minute...

    How many exhausts?

    Oh shit!

    How much?!

A pretty good cross section of tasty looking cars there.. do they hold the show every year or was this a one off?

No idea Rod, I've not lived in Warwickshire long. I'm guessing it's every year. The girl that invited me is something to do with a Mini club, so I'm sure I'll be invited to the next one if there is one.

I've lived in Leamington Spa for the last 3 years and the only show in the area I know of is the Leamington 100.

Didn't know about this one in Warwick.

Nice one Jack, cheers for sharing.
205GTis get better with age but that's a mental price for the blue one, even though it's obviously been looked after. Morris 1000 with Rover V8(?) looks well funky!

Found the build thread, but sadly all of the pictures are dead.

    Retro Rides - 1972 Rover P6 2000TC Turbo project

Found this in the root of his photobucket:

Definitely the car I was thinking of.

Wonder why he's removed all of the photos?

    Re: Warwick Retro car show

Hi I'm the organiser of RetroWarwick and the event is widely advertised in the area, on retro rides, few other car forums, and in a few classic car mag events listings. Its an official warwick event, supported by the Council. Posters usually get distributed around local shops and I flyer classic cars at local classic meets. 2012 was its 3rd year and it always surprises me how some many "locals" never come - it was in the local paper. Its firmly a classic and retro event so cars pre-1990 only (yes, a few modern sneek in).

Previous years I've flyered 100's of car in warwick and Leam but they never come so I didn't bother this year and the turnout was even bigger. Coverage by motoring journo Ricahrd Aucock:
Jaguar E-Type - Warwick Retro Car Show 2012 - Motoring Exclusives from MSN Cars

Facebook page if you want to keep in touch for next year:

    Awesome, thanks Matt!

I was thinking of slipping my Frontera in and parking it up, but once I arrived and saw the calibre of the cars that were there I quickly drove it round the corner, put a parking ticket on it and pretended it wasn't mine.

It looks as though it couldn't get much bigger, there wasn't much space you could squeeze any more cars!

Awesome photos Jack. That 205 is my favourite I think. Must admit, I've never seen one in that colour, so know wonder it's rare.

Warwick looks a nice place too.
